Sanctuary Guild

The parish is eager to establish a group of people who will assist with the cleaning and overseeing of church linen and plate. This will entail about 3 hours work per month on a roster basis. It does not involve any cleaning of the church, as this is done by professional cleaners.

Duties will include:

• the washing of some small pieces of altar linen on a monthly basis
• checking that all cloths and plate are in a worthy state for the celebration of the sacraments
• assisting with flower arrangements for festivals and with the general preparation of the sanctuary at important times of the year

This is a wonderful and practical way to be drawn more deeply into the liturgy and the liturgical year. Those interested should contact the Sacristan.
