I thought it was very important for St Benedict's to have website considering the situation with
Parish and changing times.
My great grandfather and mother lived in Wilson St and before that my great great grandfather in
Ivy St not far from block when they died they were one local residents transported at old
station for burials on Regent St to go to Rookwood where their grave is still today!
St Benedict's is very historic Catholic Church and Parish and the christian spirit from old times is still there in West Chippo and near church.
I attended church in early 1990s by chance as I was living Dee Why but my soul is still in
western suburbs and pay tribute to Fr Terence Purcell for his defence of Catholic Church and its morals in media itself which he often brought up with sermon on Sunday!Of course Mark Blackman ably supported his pastor until his final passing!
As well as its Benedictine history Cardinal Gilroy originated from parish to become primate in Australia at an important time in churches changing history!
I suggest best thing Fr De Stoop could do is create "Friends Family of St Benedicts"
to take church into future for upcoming generations!

I would like to see more information on the Sisters of the Good Samaritan. The role the Sisters played in the life of the Parish was impressive. Maybe a profile of some of the Sisters would be of interest. ie Sister Clement Lavery who conducted the Business College for many years and was well known to many employers in the large business houses in Sydney.

Our first comment! Thanks for the feedback. There's still a bit of work to do with the header, adding a bit of (colourful) graphics to it. And I agree with publishing the newsletter here - I'll get things started.
Mr Michael de Stoop is the new parish priest, Fr Neil will still be around.

The website is very easy to use. The colours are ok.

I was wondering if the Sunday's newsletter could be published in the website.
(Btw Has Fr. Neil left or will he be visiting now and then?)
